Quandamooka Truth Embassy

On February 01, 2021, 2 days before construction of the approved development was due to commence, the Quandamooka Truth Embassy set up camp to protect the headland and prevent the development.

To date, the Embassy is the sole reason the headland has not been developed.

  • We are still here
  • We are still protecting the headland.
  • We object to this tourist development of a building to house a whale skeleton on this sacred headland.
  • We do not need a whale skeleton and a building on this sacred headland for visitors to appreciate our island.
  • We still need your help to Protect Our Headland.
  • We need you to write to the Federal Environmental Minister in support of our protest.

We’ve provided a template email that will go directly to the Federal Environmental Minister - feel free to tweak, edit and add your own words.

But time is of the essence, we need you to send today - we are only weeks away from her making her decision about our section 10 application.
